JONESTOWN, Pa. (November 7, 2022) - The “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss officially concluded his 2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign on Saturday night at The Dirt Track at Charlotte, and with the end of the year came another top tier finish for the Series sophomore, opening the four-day, three-race World Finals program with a top-ten score on Wednesday, November 2. Zearfoss, ace of the Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, No. 3Z sprint car, finished seventh in this top-ten appearance, advancing eight positions after starting from the inside of row eight.
With his recent top-ten included, Zearfoss will cap his 2022 Series run with 20 top-ten performances, highlighting his treks from coast-to-coast with a victory at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin, on Saturday, July 2.
Zearfoss went on to finish 16th and 18th, respectively, in the final two nights of the World of Outlaws World Finals. An opening lap incident halted any and all potential in Saturday’s $25,000-to-win World of Outlaws finale.
“It was a trying year, but I’m proud to finish my second, full season as a full-time World of Outlaws competitor. To my family, my team, and all of my partners, thank you for the endless support. There were many nights where we were second guessing ourselves and second guessing our decision to be out on the road, but the high notes made up for all of the lows, that’s for sure,” said Zearfoss, a former Port Royal Speedway champion before turning to full-time Outlaws competition. “We’re not sure what the future brings just yet, but for now, I’m going to turn my focus to BAPS Motor Speedway this Saturday and have some fun with Aaron Long.”
ON DECK:
Brock Zearfoss will continue his 2022 campaign with a start at BAPS Motor Speedway on Saturday, November 12. The “Jonestown Jet” will pilot for Central Pennsylvania car owner Aaron Long.
