Zearfoss recovers in Lawrenceburg; Heading for the Dakotas

JONESTOWN, Pa. (May 31, 2022) – Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing were on pace for their first win of the season Monday night at Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, but suffice it to say, bad luck stepped in and ruined the party, forcing Zearfoss to the work area not once, but twice, before recovering to finish 12th.
A first-ever visitor to the greater Cincinnati venue, Zearfoss, driver of the Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, Berkebile Oil Company, X-1 Race Cars, K1 RaceGear, BK Titanium, AL Driveline, No. 3Z sprint car, started from the pole at the Lawrenceburg highbanks, leading the first three circuits before a corner miscalculation forced the Jonestown, Pennsylvania, native hard into the outside wall. As mentioned, Zearfoss was able to recover; a perfect ending to a frustrating occurrence.
Zearfoss earned the pole position via dash victory, kicking things off with a runner-up performance during his respective heat race.
“Man, I felt so gutted for my team,” Zearfoss said regarding Lawrenceburg. “We had the potential and the speed to win, but it was all cut short. Regardless, for the crew to recover like they did and get me back out on the track says so much. It’s been an up and down year, but with the team I have, the ups will far outweigh the downs.”
ON DECK:
Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will continue their sophomore campaign with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series with a trip through the Dakotas, first visiting River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, North Dakota, on Friday, June 3, followed by a stop at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota, on Sunday, June 5.
