Zearfoss nails down consecutive top-tens in Bristol Motor Speedway visit
JONESTOWN, Pa. (April 26, 2021) - The “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss made the most out of his weekend stay at Bristol Motor Speedway, ultimately capping his three-day turned four-day visit to the World’s Fastest Half-Mile with a pair of top-ten finishes, highlighting his Bristol Throwdown with a seventh-place score during the $25,000-to-win finale on Sunday afternoon.
Forced to wait an extra day due to Mother Nature, Zearfoss’ Sunday top-ten was the result of forward progress from the outside of row five. The Jonestown, Pennsylvania-native was fourth during heat race competition to lock himself into the big dance.
Incidentally, Zearfoss, driver of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., Meckley's Limestone Products, Berkebile Oil Company, Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, X-1 Race Cars, No. 3Z sprint car, finished tenth during his Bristol debut on Friday. Impressive enough, Zearfoss was forced to do things the hard way, eventually charging six positions to solidify his top-ten outcome.
With all results included, Zearfoss continues to hold down ninth in the World of Outlaws championship standings, padded by five top-ten finishes in 15 Series starts.
“That was a lot of fun,” Brock Zearfoss said, who is chasing World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Rookie of the Year honors in 2021. “To roll out of the gate and contend for top-tens and top-fives says a lot about this team and our potential. I think a weekend like that is just what we needed to keep our momentum rolling in the right direction. We have another busy weekend ahead, but we’re ready to get started. I just can’t thank my team enough for their hard work and dedication so far this season. It’s not easy racing out here, but they’re making it possible.”
Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will continue their quest toward World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year honors with a three-day march through Illinois and Missouri on Thursday through Saturday, April 29-May 1. The Greatest Show On Dirt will visit Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Illinois, on Thursday, followed by two straight nights at I-70 Motorsports Park in Odessa, Missouri, on Friday and Saturday.
