Zearfoss makes long haul home to Port Royal for Keith Kauffman Classic; Bristol weekend next

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (April 19, 2021) - With the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series events in Oklahoma and Texas getting the best of Mother Nature, the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss decided to pack his bags and hit the road, setting his GPS for the annual Keith Kauffman Classic at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania.

Despite an all night tow from Oklahoma to Central Pennsylvania, Zearfoss was eager to compete, set to rejoin the All Star Circuit of Champions for the first time since February. Not to mention, as a former Port Royal Speedway track champion, Zearfoss knows his way around the coveted “Speed Palace.”

Although Zearfoss ultimately missed the top-ten, it was a sound night for the Jonestown, Pennsylvania-native, ending his evening with a three position charge from 15th to finish 12th. Zearfoss qualified for the $10,000-to-win blockbuster, with 45 cars entered for action, by finishing second during his respective heat race.

“My team and I looked at the map and asked ourselves if it was possible. Once we figured out it was doable, we hit the road,” Brock Zearfoss said, driver of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., Meckley's Limestone Products, Berkebile Oil Company, Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, X-1 Race Cars, No. 3Z sprint car. “It was great to get back to Port Royal and race in front of our family and friends. Getting laps there is important. We did some things and I think we’ll be in better shape once we return.”

Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will continue their 2021 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with a trip to Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee, on Thursday through Saturday, April 22-24. Dubbed the Bristol Throwdown, the two-day program, beginning with practice on Thursday, will award a combined winner’s share equaling $35,000; $10,000 on Friday and $25,000 on Saturday. Zearfoss will enter the Bristol doubleheader weekend ninth in the World of Outlaws championship standings, padded by three top-ten finishes in 13 contests.
