Brock Zearfoss caps Florida visit with top-five during East Bay’s King of the 360’s
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
JONESTOWN, Pa. (February 17, 2020) – Despite a rocky start to his 2020 campaign that was plagued with poor luck and discouraging outcomes during DIRTcar Nationals competition at Volusia Speedway Park, the ‘Jonestown Jet’ Brock Zearfoss rebounded in a big way during his East Bay Raceway Park visit and concluded his near-two week Florida trip with four-straight top-ten finishes including a top-five during the $10,000-to-win King of the 360’s finale on Saturday, February 15. Up until that point, Zearfoss’ best results were a trio of 19th-place scores during All Star Circuit of Champions and World of Outlaws action at Volusia Speedway Park.
Zearfoss, driver of the Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill/Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc./C&D Rigging Inc./BAPS Auto Paints & Supply/Meckley’s Limestone Products/Berkebile Oil Company/Klick Lewis Cars/No. 3Z sprint car, finished fourth twice during East Bay’s King of the 360’s program, kicking things off with a fourth-place performance during Thursday’s preliminary program.
After rain ruined the evening on Friday, Zearfoss returned to the Tampa-area venue on Saturday and found himself locked into an A-Main starting position after concluding Thursday’s program within the top-six of the event’s overall standings. By way of blind draw, the former Port Royal Speedway track champion started fifth on the finale grid and advanced once position by feature’s end.
Before King of the 360’s action commenced on Thursday, Zearfoss joined the All Star Circuit of Champions at East Bay Raceway Park on Monday and Tuesday, February 10-11, and participated in the first-ever Jean Lynch Classic presented by Winn-Dixie. Zearfoss capped his two-day stretch with ninth and eighth-place finishes, respectively.
“All in all, it was a great trip for our team. We had a few nights that didn’t go our way, but we really didn’t have anything to lose. The All Stars didn’t race for points and that alleviated a lot of pressure. The lap time will prove to be very beneficial during the coming months,” Brock Zearfoss said, a three-time All Star Circuit of Champions winner in 2019 who will return to the Series full-time in 2020. “I can’t thank Tye and Shane enough for their hard work. Racing that much is never easy, especially with little to no time off in between starts. I wouldn’t be able to do any of this without them.”
Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will continue their 2020 campaign with a Saturday afternoon visit to the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway on February 22. The annual ‘Icebreaker’ will headline action in the Pigeon Hills awarding a $4,000 top prize.
