Zearfoss highlights Dean Knittel Memorial weekend with top-ten, hard charger award on Friday

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (September 16, 2019) - Despite falling short of attaining a fourth All Star Circuit of Champions victory in 2019, Jonestown, Pennsylvania’s Brock Zearfoss did the next best thing and ended his three-race stretch at Atomic Speedway on September 12-14 with a true wave of consistency, capping Dean Knittel Memorial weekend with 11th, eighth, and 11th place finishes, respectively.

Between finishing 11th during the ‘Speedweek: Reloaded’ program on Thursday and the Dean Knittel Memorial finale on Saturday, the ‘Jonestown Jet’ scored an eighth place outcome during the $5,054-to-win ‘Night Before The Knittel’ on Friday, September 13. Impressive enough, Zearfoss hard-charged his way to the top-ten result, advancing from 17th to do so. The rally from 17th to eighth also allowed Zearfoss to earn the evening’s Hard Charger Award for advancing the most feature positions.

In addition, Brock Zearfoss left Chillicothe fourth in the All Star Circuit of Champions driver standings, moving ahead one spot after entering the three-race sweep behind Paul McMahan in fifth.

“It was a successful weekend for our team. I think the ultimate goal is to win races, but when you can fire out two or three consistent finishes like we did, it says a lot about your program and what you are able to do,” Brock Zearfoss said, driver of the Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill/Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc./BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Meckley's Limestone Products/Berkebile Oil Company/No. 70 sprint car. “I can’t say enough about this team. It was hot and muggy for most of the weekend, but they never stopped working. I’m lucky to have these guys by my side night in and night out.”

Brock Zearfoss will continue his 2019 All Star Circuit of Champions campaign with another three-race weekend, this time returning aim to the Keystone State, as well as northern Maryland. Action will kick-off on Friday evening, September 20, at the world-famous Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, followed by a stop at the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, September 21. Lincoln Speedway’s ‘Dirt Classic’ will award a monstrous $20,000 payday.

Zearfoss’ three-race weekend will conclude on Sunday, September 22, at Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland.
