Brock Zearfoss earns All Star top-tens at Bedford, Night Before The Tuscarora 50
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
JONESTOWN, Pa. (September 9, 2019) - It was a weekend close to home for Jonestown, Pennsylvania’s Brock Zearfoss, and with the stakes high and competition at its peak, the ‘Jonestown Jet’ prevailed and scored a pair of top-ten finishes in three days, nearly accomplishing three in a row with a 12th place finish during Saturday’s $52,000-to-win Tuscarora 50 at Port Royal Speedway; there were over 50 cars in attendance.
Zearfoss, driver of the Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill/Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc./BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Meckley's Limestone Products/Berkebile Oil Company/No. 70 sprint car, started tenth on the Tuscarora 50 grid, earning his way into the Saturday night showstopper by finishing second during his respective heat race.
Tuscarora weekend activated, officially, with the Friday night ‘Night Before The Tuscarora 50’ preliminary on September 6. Zearfoss finished sixth during the $5,000-to-win main event, bouncing ahead seven spots after starting 13th on the grid. Impressive enough, there were 58 cars on the grounds.
Zearfoss’ first top-ten finish of the weekend occurred one night prior to his return to Port Royal Speedway, joining the All Star Circuit of Champions at Bedford Speedway in Bedford, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, September 5. Starting seventh on the feature grid, Zearfoss battled within the top-ten the entire distance and ended the 30-lap main event in the exact same position that he started in.
“It was a solid weekend for our team. We’re always looking for ways to get faster, and of course we wanted to get that big win for our fans and partners, but it was still a great effort and I’m proud of everyone involved, especially my team,” Brock Zeafoss said. “Shane and Tye do a fantastic job and they love what they do. We still have a lot of racing on our schedule and I’m excited to see what the next few weeks have in store for us.”
Brock Zearfoss will continue his 2019 All Star Circuit of Champions campaign with a three-race stay at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio. Action will kick-off on Thursday, September 12, with a $5,000-to-win program, followed by back-to-back nights of Dean Knittel Memorial action on Friday and Saturday, September 13 & 14. Friday night’s preliminary program will award a $5,054 top prize and Saturday’s finale will award a monstrous $12,554 top prize.
Zearfoss will enter the weekend fifth in the current All Star Circuit of Champions point race.
