Zearfoss earns top-ten during World Championship preliminary main; All Star Circuit of Champions trio next

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (June 3, 2019) - Although the weekend was ultimately cut from three days to one due to Mother Nature’s poor timing, Brock Zearfoss’ trip to Mansfield Motor Speedway for the second-ever Sprint Car World Championship proved to be a success story, ending preliminary competition on Friday, May 31, with a top-ten performance; a solid charge from 14th to finish sixth.

Zearfoss, driver of the Premier Motorsports/Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill/Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc./BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Meckley's Limestone Products/Berkebile Oil Company/River City Wood Products/No. 70 sprint car, kicked off his Friday evening at the Mansfield half-mile with a fifth place performance during heat race competition, solidifying his spot in one of two $5,000-to-win preliminary main events.

With evening storms invading the area, the $100,000-to-win Sprint Car World Championship finale set for Saturday, June 1, was eventually canceled, but the high-dollar marquee will be made up on a later date.

“Maybe if the weather would cooperate, we would have the opportunity to race an entire weekend,” Brock Zearfoss said, who now owns 12 top-ten performances thus far in 2019. “Regardless, I’m proud of this team and I’m proud of our efforts at Mansfield. We have a pretty big weekend ahead in New York, so any type of positive momentum is important. I’m excited to race three days in a row.”

Brock Zearfoss and Premier Motorsports will continue their 2019 campaign with a three-day, All Star Circuit of Champions swing through the Empire State on Friday through Sunday, June 7-9. The ‘Jonestown Jet’ will visit Outlaw Speedway, Stateline Speedway and Weedsport Speedway, respectively, during his trip across south and central New York, still chasing his first victory of the 2019 season.

Zearfoss will enter the weekend eighth in the current All Star driver standings, padded by a podium run at Virginia Motor Speedway to open the 2019 point season.
