Zearfoss continues PA Speedweek prep with consistent weekend at The Grove and Port Royal
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
JONESTOWN, Pa. (June 18, 2018) - After an unlucky weekend in the Empire State with the All Star Circuit of Champions, the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss rebounded in a big way back in his home state of Pennsylvania by earning a pair of top-ten finishes during competition at Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway on Friday and Saturday, June 15-16.
Zearfoss, driver of the Brock Zearfoss Racing/ Moose's LZ Bar & Grill/Meckley’s Limestone/Central Builders Supply Co./Berkebile Oil Company/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Creekside Roofing and Siding/Bargain Barn/No. 3Z sprint car, finished sixth and fourth, respectively, during his pair of programs in the Keystone State, continuing to prep for a full-on Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek campaign beginning June 29 at Williams Grove Speedway.
Although impressive, Zearfoss’ top-five at Port Royal Speedway was a challenge, forced to withstand a multitude of cautions and a pair of open red flags before the finish. Although frustrating, one open red situation served as a benefit for Zearfoss, allowing the team to repair nose wing damage that occurred during green flag action.
“This was a good way to get back on track, especially with PA Speedweek just right around the corner. My crew busted their butts this weekend. I can’t thank them enough,” Zearfoss said, a two-time winner in Central PA thus far in 2018. “Things are clicking for us right now in Central PA. I think that’s why I am so excited to get Speedweek started. We just had a pretty bad awful luck spell. I think we have that out of our system now.”
Before Speedweek commences, Zearfoss will get one last opportunity to test and tune with a pair of regular programs at The Grove and the Port Royal “Speed Palace” on Friday and Saturday, June 22 & 23.
